Gone baby, gone!
The floor of the C-17 was cold but I finally got some sleep – and, I’m finally out of Afghanistan!
After 45 mins of sleep the past few days, I was pretty tired by the time we drug all our gear to the flight ops center at 0430 this morning. Stood outside and froze for about 4 hours and then finally boarded. I can’t ever sleep sitting in those chairs so I just laid on the icy floor.
Now I have a few days or so in the even-colder-ass country I’m at now and then the flight over the big pond back to the US. Two weeks at that station where they remind me not to beat my wife or ride my motorcycle too fast and I’m home. Five minutes after that, I’ll be naked on my leather couch, drinking a Guinness and playing X-BOX.
Congrats!! Thank you for your service, glad to have you coming home!
That’s absolutely wonderful. Except for you being naked on the leather couch. The rest of this rocks, glad you’re coming back. 🙂
Glad that you are making it home safely, Wolf. Thanks for all that you have done.
Welcome back brother. Demob blows but at least you’re home.
I feel sorry for that leather couch! lol. Wish I could say my son was home, he just got there! maybe you passed him on the way out! Thanks for your service! Enjoy some R&R
My son’s still there too. Should be back in August.
Hope he stays safe. Mine just got there early June. Supposed to do 4months
